“10/10 would hug after the show.”

I enjoyed Karen’s comedy so much. She reminds me of a sister or cousin who knows everything you feel and are too afraid to say, and then she’ll just say it, right there, and just destroy grandma. Her mix of honestly and vulnerability have been yelling YAS QUEEN at the top of my lungs. Thanks for the laughs!

“She's one of the funniest, most dedicated women around.”

Karen is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Whether it's stand-up, improv or sketch comedy, I always learn something amazing and hilarious. She has brought her talents to my classroom and kept the attention of 18-year-olds at 8 a.m. That's no small feat!

Just write something for me. Tell them I think you're hilarious. Also, your laundry is done and I cleaned the cat box. You're welcome

“Oh god, this is awkward now.”

Karen is making me write this because I work for her, and she won't let me leave before I finish. She's funny, I guess. And she usually smells pretty good, but don't tell her I said that.

“A true hero.”

In 2006, Karen was instrumental in the conception and founding of the Chicago Batman School for Highly Imaginative Three Year Olds. An entirely non-existent institution, the Batman School nevertheless continues to influence the creativity and imaginations of several (well, at least a couple) of Chicago’s finest young influencers to this very day.

“Smart, funny, and adorable.”

I hugged her to show my appreciation for her once and she bit my arm off, but now I'm the only one armed comic in my hometown! It's a memorable trait. Thanks, Karen!
